If you know the missing names of any men in these pictures, please get in touch... I would also very much like some photo’s of 34 Section, the Army Wing of 30AU, who operated mainly in Italy. What they did seems even more cloaked in secrecy than the rest of 30AU!

Names for the Naval picture as well please... any names to faces!?

Lt. RNVR James Besant's caption reads:- “A naval group belonging to 30 A.U. We allowed a marine to join us for the occasion! The lads behind us were all specialists of high quality. The marine was not bad either!”

I think that the person I have highlighted in the attached image could well be Dunstan Curtis ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunstan_Curtis ).

I know his group went on into Germany and he is mentioned in Ian Rankin's book ‘Ian Fleming’s Commandos’ quite a bit and also in ‘Storming St Nazaire’ by James G. Dorrian; the latter contains an image of him which bears more similarity to this one than the studio portrait on his wikipedia page.
